Collaboration with Lexington High School
On June 7, 2023, Lexington School District One announced the following;
"If you've recently passed by Lexington High School you may have noticed the new water tower.
Built by Joint Municipal Water and Sewer Commission, the tower holds more than 2 million gallons of water and helps feed rural areas of the County of Lexington. Once completed, commission leaders saw a blank canvas and a great opportunity to team up with LHS and create something special.
Art teacher Allen Anderson collaborated with members of the school, community and area leaders to create the design you see today. He and Mayor Steve MacDougall even had a chance to paint portions of the design more than 200 feet in the air!
Since its debut Wildcat Water Tower has united a community."
