The WEASC Capital District 2022 Annual Awards Meeting was held in Lexington, South Carolina, on January 20, 2022. WEASC honored multiple JMWSC staff who were recognized for their accomplishments and professional excellence during the awards ceremony.
Jay Nicholson received the Quarter-Century Operator Award from the Water Environment of South Carolina. This recognizes operators of wastewater treatment facilities for their service and dedication in a difficult and dangerous profession for a minimum of 25 years, 10 of which must have been in active participation in the day-to-day collections, maintenance, operations, laboratory, or management of a wastewater transportation or treatment facility.
